Control Board - Parts Inventory
Completing an inventory of the Control board parts

As you can see, the Control board contains a number of ESD-sensitive parts (transistors and IC's), so the grounding wrist strap (to the left of the parts) is an important asset while handling the components.

Something I've never seen in a kit before ... the resistors are organized (taped) in the order in which they are installed.  This really makes inventorying much simpler, and it also helps reduce opportunity for mixing up one resistor with another (that darn "violet" sure looks "brown" sometimes ... I have to carefully examine the body of the resistor under a lighted magnifying lamp to distinguish those two colors!)

At my "beginner's pace", the Control board was completed in approximately 4-6 hours.  There were not any "gotchas" or otherwise difficult tasks in completing the board.  The assembly instructions are very smart in advising you to install similar components in entire groups before soldering ... this helps prevent accidental swap of similar looking parts which would need to be unsoldered.
